To whom it may concern:

So you are preparing to buy or sell a home? Choosing a Realtor is a difficult decision. We believe that choosing GREG GARRETT as our Realtor was one of our best decisions.

In 1997 we received military orders requiring us to relocate out-of-state. We chose a part-time Realtor who was a friend of the family. Our home was listed from October 1997 to March 1998 with little to no interest. We decided to rent our home and managed the process ourselves. A tenant took possession of our property in March 1998. The tenant did not pay rent from March 1998 to September 1998. It took six months and a lot of legal fees to evict her. The tenant ruined the carpet and caused other damages. We tried to sell the house ourselves from October 1998 until February 1999. We had a lot of interest, but facilitating the process was difficult. In February a Realtor convinced us that he had a buyer and asked us to list the property with him. He was a smooth talker and we did not trust him. Finally, we contacted Greg Garrett.

Greg Garrett advised us on his recommended plan of action and also provided viable alternatives. He managed the repair of the property. The repairs cost less than previous estimates and were completed in a short time frame. We had a contract within about one week of listing the property and closed within the following month.

We trust Greg Garrett because he is so knowledgeable. No one markets a home better in Southeast Virginia. He provided excellent service (i.e. facilitated the paperwork and made arrangements with our attorney), he communicated with us as necessary; our favorite call was a voice mail reporting that the house was officially sold and recorded at the courthouse. He listened to our concerns and empathized with our situation.

We learned valuable lessons:

  • Never hire a friend hoping they are a good Realtor. Hire a good Realtor and become their friend .
  • Hire a property management company to protect your investment. The extra expense monthly saves you thousands of dollars in legal and travel expenses in the long term.
  • Never hire a Realtor that you are not comfortable with from the start.
  • Always call Greg Garrett first.
Sincerely,

LT and Mrs. Glenn E . Maynard, USN

To Whom It May Concern,

We wanted to thank you and your company for everything you have done for our family.

A little over two years ago, we put our house on the market hoping to sell and get in a better neighborhood for our two girls (now ages 5 and 8). We thought we would sell within a year but to our surprise the house would not sell because of the train and surrounding apartments. After being on the market for two years, your company came to our rescue and bought our house to rent out. That was a big blessing to us! We were so excited about our move but the only problem was finding another house within our means. You see, I have a day care service in our home so we have to have enough space for that but within a certain price range in a good neighborhood. What a challenge for our realtor! Your company came through again and in just a short time our "new" house was found. From the time we put the contract on the house until the time of closing, everything went like clockwork; thanks to your company. Your company found exactly what we were looking for. We have moved into our home now and have loved not only the home but the neighborhood also.

Thank you greg garrett realty.com for everything you have done for our family, you are truly an answer to our prayers

Yours truly,

Alan and Theresa Huskey

Dear Mr. Garrett:

This letter is being written to you to personally thank you for the help we have received from your company. Without your company's help we probably would still be floundering away, trying to make "the right" decisions when selling, and with the buying of our home. All our questions were answered and we were well informed. We are very pleased with the purchase of our new home. The neighborhood is just what we were hoping for, the area is convenient for Lino to commute to his job, and we have quicker access to shopping, entertainment and schools.

I especially want to let you know how well our closing "problem" we encountered was handled. You probably already know this, but Page is truly an asset to your company, and we have benefited from our association with her and your company!

Until we move again, sincerely,

Pam Fragosa

Dear Greg,

Very often one writes a letter because they are not satisfied or have something or someone to complain about; however, I am happy to say that isn't the reason for this letter.

When we decided to sell our house we were looking for two things, a good agent, and a nationally advertising company. Our good fortune led us to your organization. We couldn't have been happier. My wife and I had a great deal of confidence in our consultant and I want to compliment you for having this capable young lady as a member of your team. I might add, it's letters like this that make good reading in one of your sales meetings.

Sincerely,

Bill Lawrence

My salesman worked very hard and fast to find me a home that other sales agents from other companies could not.

Greg Garrett,

I want to give a special thanks to your agency, for the professional job done in marketing and selling our house. During the time the house was on the market, the follow through on your service commitment was made beyond expectation. We were well informed of all advertising moves and were sent copies of all fliers to help keep us aware of what was going on. This enabled us to be prepared for the usual surge experienced after the advertisement and present our house in the best possible light.

All things considered, your organization is an outstanding one and is the reason we picked you to represent our interests. Thanks again for the outstanding service. I will wholeheartedly recommend Chuck to our friends and acquaintances for any future real estate business needs.

Sincerely,

Carl T. Brewer
